Loaded with potassium and healthy carbs, this refreshing protein drink helps restore what an intense workout takes out of you.

1/2 honeydew or cantaloupe,
      skinned, seeded, and cut
      into chunks
1 cup strawberries, hulled
1/2 banana, sliced
1 cup Plain Yogurt
1 teaspoon honey

Place the melon, strawberries, and banana in a blender or food processor and process until smooth. Add the yoghurt and honey and blend just until mixed. Serve immediately.

Makes 2 servings (12 ounces each)

Beware of ridiculous sales pitches though, as with everything else in the world, it also applies to California foreclosures for sale, if it looks too good to be true, it usually is! Some of the most absurd claims have been made by people trying to get others interested in investing in real estate foreclosures and just out of interests sake we discuss some of these absurd claims.”A Government agent is willing to visit you at your residence to clarify to you personally how you are able to purchase Government foreclosure properties”. This is nonsense, the only time a Government agent will visit you in the privacy of your own residence is if they are from the IRS, in which case you are probably a tax defaulter. The DEA, in which instance they probably believe that you are somehow connected to illicit drug dealing, the CIA or FBI in which case they believe you to be involved in terrorism or some other such nefarious activity. No Government agent will ever visit you in your residence to explain how you can make a killing by purchasing and reselling Californian foreclosures for sale.

Another myth is the sales pitch All you have to do is take over LOW monthly mortgage repayments. This is not how the business works. The reason why a property or home has been foreclosed upon is because the borrower has defaulted in his payment obligations to the lender institution. The lender forecloses on the mortgage, not on the physical house or property. It is the mortgage agreement that allows the lender to foreclose on a default borrower through court action or otherwise. At the time of the foreclosing auction, if the lender bids successfully for the property; the mortgage is foreclosed, it does not exist any longer, and hence there are no longer monthly mortgage payments to take over. If the property was bought by an investor, it is not owned by the bank or lender either, and will not appear on any foreclosure listing supplied by the lender.

Telemarketers have been known to make claims of this ilk, but should anyone ever approach you with these claims you now know that they are completely ridiculous, and do not hold any water.

Bring your kids (or other people’s kids) so they can really appreciate how lucky they are to have a home to go to each day and a bed to sleep in each night.  

The event is to raise money for the Monarch School which is one of only two schools for homeless children in the U.S. and educating these kids makes them productive members of our society and is truly a wonderful thing.   As a group, the kids really appreciate the education, caring, and support they receive from the school.   The Monarch School is the stabilizing anchor in these children’s lives.   Many of these kids go on to college with scholarships due to their academic performance, none of which would be possible without The Monarch School.   I would encourage everyone to come out and meet these kids and participate.   It will quickly help put your own problems and challenges into perspective.

1 box spice cake mix
1 egg
2 tablespoons melted butter

1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 16-oz. can pumpkin
2 eggs
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter; stir until mixture is well blended (mixture will be dry). Press into bottom of a 10-1/2 x 15-1/2 inch jelly roll pan.

3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sweetened condensed milk, pumpkin, 2 eggs and salt; beat until mixture is smooth. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with pecans.

4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, until filling is set. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 20 minutes. Chill. Cut into bars and store in airtight container in refrigerator.

The HPCI compares the average value of 2,200-square-foot houses with four bedrooms, two- and one-half baths, a family room and a two-car garage across 315 U.S. markets.

The Index measures three components, including consumers’ outlook on current economic conditions, consumers’ outlook on future economic conditions, and consumers’ future spending plans. A reading below 100 reflects a higher percentage of pessimistic consumers compared with those who are optimistic.

Although the component measuring current economic conditions declined to 40, the components measuring future economic conditions and planned spending on big ticket items increased to 94.4 and 56.7, respectively, implying that consumer spending could improve over the next six months.

On Monday, U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers Holding Inc. filed for bankruptcy and, on the same day, Bank of America announced that it would be buying struggling Merrill Lynch.

On Tuesday night, the U.S. government’s $85 billion bailout of American International Group, one of the world’s largest insurers, kept the company afloat.

However, no bailout came for Lehman’s, which is the largest casualty, so far, in the past year in the ongoing credit crisis. Lehman filed for bankruptcy on Monday following a failed attempt over the weekend to find a buyer.

Later in the week, Lehman agreed to sell it’s capital markets businesses to a British bank, Barclays, for a lower-than-hoped-for $1.75 billion. Also, Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman are reportedly in talks with Lehman’s to purchase its investment management unit.

Earlier this week, No.2 U.S. bank giant, Bank of America announced it would be buying Merrill Lynch in a $50 billion deal.

"Acquiring one of the premier wealth management, capital markets, and advisory companies is a great opportunity for our shareholders," Bank of America Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ken Lewis said in a statement. "Together, our companies are more valuable because of the synergies in our businesses."

Unmoved by his wife’s pleas for a new life in the city, his daughter’s misery with her lecherous new husband, or his son’s questionable love affair with a traveling female preacher, stubborn patriarch Jeeter isn’t going anywhere. Director David Schweizer makes his debut at the Playhouse, following his long and successful directing career with productions like Horizon, The Boys from Syracuse and Wintertime. With Tobacco Road, Schweizer will direct this portrait of the darker side of humanity and the perseverance of love, infusing it with resonance for modern audiences.
