Time To “Fall Back” to Standard Time

Date October 31, 2009

Tonight is the night we (who observe Daylight Saving Time) reset our clocks (officially, 2am) – we supposedly gain an hour of sleep.  But, most of us spend at least an hour setting all of our clocks to the new time.  So, what did/do we gain?

Many people I speak with feel that we should just stay on the "Daylight Saving" time.  I agree!

However, for all those people who have voice mail announcing their business hours as being "PACIFIC STANDARD TIME, etc." and for those who have websites stating their hours are PST, MST, CST, EST — it fits perfectly… UNTIL next year when we again re-adjust for Daylight Time.  Hoping someday those people will get that right!

For Safety….Remember to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Have a great fall and winter….. Stay safe and healthy!
