Preparing Your Pets For A Long Drive
August 2, 2008

Prepare for a long car drive the right way.
Ready to roll this summer? Help your pets get used to riding in a car by taking several short rides prior to a long trip to a summer destination. Safely transport your pets in well-ventilated crates anchored with bungee cords or seat belts. Never leave your pets alone in your car during summer even for a minute. Interior heat builds up quickly and poses serious danger. Heavy panting or relentless licking while on the road could be warning signs that you need to pull over in a shady spot and provide some water.
