Scripps Ranch 10K/Fun Run/Bike Rides     July 4

This athletic event offers several running and cycling opportunities that will take place in Scripps Ranch. You can choose between a 10K road race, 2-mile fun run, 12-mile cycle, 28-mile cycle, or a 50-mile cycle. Fourth of July Celebration Standley Park     July 4
There’s a lot going on at this 4th of July festival! The event will begin with a pancake breakfast and continue with a festival of old fashioned fun and games. There will be music, Hula dancing, a beer garden, a kiddie area, a fun run/walk, and field games such as the sack race and tug of war. 8:30 am - 7:00 pm. Rancho Bernardo Spirit of the 4th Festival     July 4
Residents of Rancho Bernardo are celebrating Independence Day! The day will begin with a pancake breakfast and continue with a festival of music, food, beer, crafts, games, fireworks, and an Idol competition. This event is in conjunction with the "Rancho Bernardo Spirit of the 4th Parade". 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. Scripps Ranch 4th of July Festival     July 4
The community of Scripps Ranch is celebrating Independence Day. It’s a fun ice cream social offering creamy ice cream, snack food, and DJ music. Children can jump around in a bouncer and get their faces painted by a clown. This event is in conjunction with the "Scripps Ranch 4th of July Parade". 11:00 am - 1:30 pm. Mira Mesa 4th of July Festival     July 4
Be a proud American and celebrate Independence Day!
The event will begin with a yummy pancake breakfast and continue with a fun community festival and end with a beautiful fireworks show synchronized to music from KYXY radio. This event is in conjunction with the "Mira Mesa 4th of July

Fireworks Display Georges at the Cove     July 4
Residents of La Jolla can celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular evening fireworks show near Georges at the Cove restaurant. With the sound of each explosion, a splash of color will light up the night sky! Fireworks will be launched from a floating barge near the cove. 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Montgomery Waller Community Park Carnival     July 10-13
Residents near Montgomery Waller Community Park can come to a fun carnival. There will be carnival rides, carnival games, carnival prizes, a giant slide, a Funhouse, snack food, and a computer portrait novelty booth. Over-The-Line Tournament    July 12-13 / 19-20
This rough and tumble sport is a form of rugged sand softball limited to 1,200 three-person teams in nine age divisions for men and women. There’ll be over 2,000 games played on 50 courts over a period of two weekends. It’s a popular beach event to mingle and enjoy with food, drink, and music. 7:30 am - 7:30 pm. Webster Street Fair     July 12
It’s a food and music festival showcasing cultural diversity in southeast San Diego with the excitement, color, and passion of Rio de Janeiro’s famous Carnival. Stay Classy Padre Palooza     July 12
The purpose of this pre-ballgame music event is to heighten awareness, collect volunteers, and raise funds for enviornmental initiatives in San Diego. The event offers, food, drink, and music amid fundraising activities such as a silent auction, merchandise raffles, and 50/50 raffles. 12:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

XX Sports Radio Block Party     July 12
The event is in celebration of the opening day for XX Sports Radio. It includes radio broadcasts, staged music, sport pros autograph signing, food sampling, and an interactive area for kids and adults. This convention is the largest comic book and pop culture event in the United States. This national premiere youth soccer tournament is one of the top two youth soccer tournaments in the United States. Screen on the Green “The Shop Around The Corner”    July 31
A large outdoor screen will be set up at Balboa Park where you can lay on the grass and watch the movie "The Shop Around The Corner".
