Hmong New Year Celebration     December 22-24

The Hmong New Year is celebrated with a cultural event where household spirits are renewed, ancestral spirits honored, and blessings are given for a new year. Memorial Christmas Motorcycle Toy Run    December 24

Motorcycle riders will escort Santa to this event. Santa and his elves will not be arriving by sled and reindeer; they’ll be on motorcycles! Then a joyous evening event will begin. Amid music and happy faces, Santa and his elves will hand out Christmas gifts to people in Southeast San Diego.  6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Festival     December 27

Before and after the Big Bay Balloon Parade, a festival will be happening on the Broadway Pier. The theme is "grooving to the 70’s". 38th Annual Resolution Run     December 29

New Year’s Even Church Service     December 31

A special New Year’s Eve Church Service will extend out into the street in Logan Heights. With joy and singing, parishioners will give thanks to God for the past year and welcome in the New Year.
