Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk for Arthritis     December 1

More than 46 million Americans have arthritis. The proceeds from this event will fund research programs. You can ring a "jingle" for awareness by attaching little bells to your shoes and participate at a 5K run/walk or a leisurely 1-mile stroll. A chorus of jingling bells will set the pace. 6:00 am - 10:00 am. Balboa Park. 28th Annual Ocean Beach Holiday Parade    December 1

Ocean Beach has been an established community for 120 years with a unique history as a fun beach town. This holiday parade celebrates the season of Christmas with a "beachy" twist of surfers and Santa Claus. 24th Annual Mainly Masters 10K     December 1

Are you ready to join a 10K race that will give you a competitive edge for your age group? This event offers a run for persons age 40 and younger (Open Group) and a separate run for persons over the age of 40 (Master Group). Little Italy Holiday Tree Lighting     December 1

Little Italy will be aglow tonight! Shoppers and residents can enjoy the holiday season in a friendly hometown atmosphere. 8th Annual Hanukah Menorah Display     December 2-16

A Menorah is a candelabrum containing seven to nine candles that is used in Jewish worship. Throughout the holiday of Hanukah, a huge and beautiful 8-foot by 4-foot tall Menorah will be traditionally displayed in the heart of La Jolla. Komen San Diego Race for the Cure     December 2

The event offers a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk in Balboa Park. Proceeds will benefit education, screening, and treatment programs that will help to fight against breast cancer. 25th Annual La Jolla Holiday Festival     December 2

A delightful festival will offer great gift items, delicious food, entertaining music, and a Fun Zone for kids. The event will conclude with a tree lighting ceremony at the end of the day. NBC 7/39 Toys for Tots Drive     December 7-8

You can make this a special holiday season for underprivileged children in San Diego by donating new, unwrapped toys for them.
