1st Annual King/Queen of the BBQ Contest     September 29

Who will be the King or Queen of this barbeque contest? Fifteen contestants will cook up a storm to win one of three trophies for the best barbeque ribs, chicken, or brisket. 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Old Globe Gala     September 29

The Old Globe is hosting a black tie gala in an evening of elegance. Cocktail reception with a silent auction in the Alcazar Garden followed by a theatrical performance at the Globe. Fine dining, music, and dancing at Copley Plaza. 5:00 pm - midnight. 26th Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair     September 29

An electric mix of music on 7-stages will entertain you with rock, country, jazz, blues, zydeco, and reggae. Over 400-vendor booths offering food and merchandise. 9th Annual Mira Mesa Street Fair     September 29

Two stages of continuous entertainment with food, music, and merchandise. Static displays by police and fire services; a Marine K9-Unit of dogs in action. Girl Scouts 5K Run/Walk for a New Day     September 29

The Girl Scouts are raising awareness of the importance of a balanced, healthy lifestyle of emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. 5K run/walk or a 1-mile run/walk; plus a health expo where you can learn more about health and fitness. 7:30 am - 10:30 am. 18th Annual AIDS Walk/Run     September 30

This event was established in 1989 and is the largest one-day HIV/AIDS fundraiser in the San Diego County. The event offers a 5K walk and a 10K run in beautiful Balboa Park.
