2007 Parkinson’s Disease 5K Walk & Fun Run     April 21

Join the fastest growing fundraising walk in San Diego.  Step off on Saturday, April 21, at Liberty Station and help "Fight Parkinson’s Disease Step by Step" in the 5K. Create a team, join a team or support your favorite walker.  Your generous donations fund vital programs and research for a cure for the 50,000 San Diegans affected by Parkinson’s disease. 8 a.m. Location: Liberty Station, San Diego. Entry Fees: $25 for adults; $15 for children. All walkers receive a commemorative t-shirt, and are eligible for prizes. Top fundraising teams win awards. 16th Annual House of Motorcycles Power Sports Expo     April 21

Representatives from the motorcycle industry and the San Diego Police Department will be at this expo to answer questions about power sports. 8th Annual NAMI Walk     April 21

One in five people will be treated for a biological brain disorder at some point in life. This national 5K walking event encourages all ages and groups to enjoy a beautiful day together and learn more about mental illness. 21st Annual Walk & Fun Run for Parkinson’s Disease     April 21

Nearly 50,000 San Diegans are affected by Parkinson’s disease. You can help them by participating at this 5K Walk and Fun Run where the proceeds will fund programs and services. The Oceanside Days of Art is a free two day outdoor arts festival held in dowtown Oceanside along Pier View Way. This family friendly event is anticipated to include over 100 visual artists booths, 300 musicians, dancers and performers along with local food vendors. Free.

Lao New Year Celebration     April 21-22

The Lao New Year is a cultural tradition that is celebrated each year in April. It’s a time when the Lao communities come together and share their common heritage and customs with others. 25th Annual La Jolla Shores 5K     April 22

Come and join a challenging 5K run/walk (3-miles) through the winding coastline neighborhoods of La Jolla where you’ll have occasional sights of scenic ocean views.
