Carnaval is the annual "Celebration of Life" that takes place throughout Brazil and is an exciting party of fun, feathers, and outrageous costumes. The San Diego Brazil Carnaval has developed the reputation as being one of the largest and most authentic Carnaval celebrations outside Brazil. 12th Annual Gaslamp Quarter Mardi Gras     February 20

In celebration of Fat Tuesday, an adult-oriented Mardi Gras will come alive in the Gaslamp with glitter, bangles, and beads. You’ll mingle and dance in masked revelry to great jazz sounds, feast on Cajun foods, have frosty beers, and catch strings of colorful beads tossed from floats in a parade. 7:00 pm - 12:00 am. 5th Annual Mardi Gras Hillcrest     February 20

Hillcrest is alive with an exciting adult-oriented Mardi Gras festival! So, dress up in colorful attire with bangles and beads and join the crowd. You can dance in the street to Cajun, rock, and D.J. music, visit craft booths, munch on appetizers, or hang out at the beer garden. 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Circus Broadway     February 22-March 5

The big tent is up, and a sensational circus show is ready to begin!
