There are several factors one should consider when house hunting.

Here is #4 of 8 - GET PRE-APPROVED FOR A MORTGAGE:

Instead of guessing or estimating how much you feel you can afford for a monthly payment, have a lender or a mortgage broker give you a full assessment and notification stating the amount you qualify to pay each month - or how much you qualify to borrow. It’s possible that one could qualify for a home of higher value - or could be possible one does not qualify for the home they would like. Get the professional to tell you.
